    I get the error "Internal Power Error" when I get back to my laptop after hibernating...


    When I return to my laptop - a Lenovo Ideapad 320 - after some inactivity a k a hibernation, I get a blue/grey screen for a couple of minutes followed by the error message "internal power error". The computer then sort of reboots for a couple of minutes.This is systematic and recent. It means it takes me roughly ten minutes to get out of stand by and back on my computer. On top of it I'm worried there's something wrong that might worsen the situation.I have looked in the community for answers but those I found either apply to earlier Windows versions or refer to tools such as Windows Debugger

    Laptop no longer hibernates on critical power

    Hi Mike,

    The laptop's battery is possibly wearing out. Since you haven't change any settings, we suggest that you change the critical battery level a bit higher so that your laptop can perform a hibernation on a much higher percentage than the default. Follow the
    steps below:

    • Type Power Options on the Start menu search bar.
    • Under Battery, click on Critical battery level.
    • Chang the default percentage to 10% or higher.
    • Click on Apply.

    Windows 10 - internal power error

    running hp probook 4740 , i7 core, amd 7650m radeon display driver. version 15.200.1060.0 latest available.

    about every 3rd or 4th startup on the laptop from hibernate or boot up I am getting the same message "internal power error".

    the computer does an auto check of system then it boots.

    no problem with operation, just the annoying re-occurance of the error, only on startup.

    Can see no reason for it.

    Laptop on mains power when closed down, battery fully charged.
