  1. I get the message that my iCloud settings are out of date when opening my Windows 11 Calendar

I get the message that my iCloud settings are out of date when opening my Windows 11 Calendar. There are no errors reported at iCloud or appleid.apple.comLooking at past issues around the 'settings out of date' problem for other applications there doesn't seem to be a simple solve.

  2. iCloud calendar will not show calendar and categories in Windows 10 mail app.

    Hello,

If it's a Calendar app, we suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps:

I suggest you to go through the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Login to your Apple ID and password.
    • Choose ‘Calendar‘, click on the ‘WiFi’-like Logo next to the calendar you want to see in Windows 10 calendar app.
    • Choose ‘Public Calendar‘ and send copy the link.
    • Next, login to your outlook.com account, go to ‘Calendar‘ in the PC website view, click on ‘Import‘, then on ‘Subscribe‘, choose a calendar name, paste the iCloud calendar link and click ‘Subscribe‘.
    • Now the iCloud calendar subscription is processing and after a short while you can see your iCloud calendar apps on outlook.com.
    • For checking correct syncing, go to the settings wheel on the right upper corner, click on ‘Options‘ and then on the name of the iCloud calendar subscription you gave in step 4. Under ‘Last Refresh‘, you can see
the refresh period and the number of correctly synced events.
    • Open Windows 10 calendar app. If you’ve already set up your outlook.com account, you will see the iCloud calendar subscription in ‘read-only’ mode.
Hope this helps, let us know the status of the issue.

Getting Error message " This set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened" in iCloud

    Thanks Jessen,

The security updates are KB 3132372 and KB3124263. I did a system restore, but still couldn't open my iCloud contacts or calendar. I checked updates again and found that KB3124263 was still there, and that my update on iCloud had also been removed.

    • So I did an uninstall update on that KB3124263, still no luck.
    • I then installed iCloud 5.1 again.
    • I still couldn't open iCloud contacts or calendar.
    • on checking updates again, I found that automatic update had reinstalled KB3132372
    • I did an uninstall on this on
    • I still get the same message when I try to open calendar or people - "The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened.
I have changed the Windows Update so that I will be advised before a restart, but there doesn't seem to be a function whereby I can chose which updates to accept.

The one suggestion I haven't tried is to sign out of iCloud and then back in again, as the dialogue box said that this would delete all contacts and calendars from my computer. Is this worth trying, and will my contacts and calendars be retrievable from
    iCloud?

    Have you any other suggestions?

    Thank you for your help.

icloud calendar account settings out-of-date all of a sudden

All of a sudden I am repeatedly notified that my iCloud setting are out-of-date for my Win 10 Calendar App. This started 6/18ish. I have reentered my valid iCloud credentials several times and continue to be told my account is out-of-date. I have been syncing
my iCloud account with my Win 10 Calendar App since launce with no issues. I do NOT have two step verification on my iCloud account and nothing with my iCloud account has changed.

    Anyone have a solution? Cheers
