    I got a brand new laptop asus for Christmas but its always slow and laggy turned on the haven't downloaded anything but it's all buggy then my fans start going loud despite I've one had it on for 3 minutes on a hard surface weve checked and the disc drive isnt broken and its updated to katest one, and theres no dust is this normal how do I fix this I need it for my gcse workI need it to speed up

    My brand new Asus laptop came with pre-installed malware.

    Laptop may have been manufactured in early 2016 and has been on the shelf for nearly a year waiting to be purchased.

    Why don’t you return the laptop to the place of purchase for a complete refund or tell the vendor the laptop has issues and needs to be replaced?

    Contact ASUS Support regarding these issues you are seeing on a “brand new” ASUS laptop that was just turned on for the first time and is still under warranty and let ASUS explain or resolve your concerns: Official Support | ASUS USA

    I ran the troubleshoot power option and it said “Display brightness setting is too high”

    but it’s a brand new laptop, i should think I could expect the most from it.

    I haven’t tried the next steps uou have suggested yet.
