Scanning document to computer from Epson 3700series

I am attempting to scan a document from my Epson printer to my dell all in one. The printer does not see the computer. I am able to print from the computer to the Epson, but cannot scan.

I am also trying to add the Epson Event Manager Software, but have been unsuccessful. Each time I try to download the driver support appears and wants me to sign up for a $9.99 monthly subscription, which I refuse to do.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Epson WP-4530 printer-scanner can't start a scan

I have an Epson WP-4530 printer-scanner on a wired home network through an AT&T U-verse gateway. I can print from my computer running Windows 10 to the printer and I can scan when the scan is started using Epson Scan on the computer. However, I can't start
the scan on the printer. Instead I get the message "Communication Error. Make sure the computer is connected, then try again." This is annoying because I can only do two-sided scanning when the scan is started from the printer. This used to work fine in Windows

As you are face an issue to scan the document using printer, let’s run the Windows in build hardware troubleshooter and check if it helps. Follow the steps provided below:

  Press Windows Key + X key, Click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Type troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and Sound, click on Hardware and Devices.
  
• 
  Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.
  

If the issue still persist, I suggest you to contact the Epson support team and check. As the team over there can assist you better in resolving the issue.
