Windows 10: I got a warning in event viewer The IntelR Management Engine Interface is being disabled.

When i was looking through my devices on device manager i saw a device called The IntelR Management Engine Interface i went to check the events on it and sense i reinstalled windows there was an error saying device not started so i went to reinstall the driver it would show the event again saying device not started and i would get an warning in event viewer with the code 4 and it says The IntelR Management Engine Interface is being disabled. how can i fix this issue? Also it said service MEIx64 when i went to try find it was not there

Intel Management Engine Interface forced update?

Motherboard GA-H110M-S2H

CPU I5 6500

The suggested Intel Management Engine Interface update by my motherboard manufacturer is 11.6.0.1030, so that's what I download and install, only for Windows 10 to force a further update to 11.7.0.1032, is it correct for this to happen?

 

Intel management engine interface - Error code 10 - can i disable the device safely?

Hello!

I have windows 10 pro 1903 on a desktop pc. Since at least 1803 I have a problem with "Intel management engine interface" listed as a system device. The error reads:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

Automatic Driver update does not work and I could not manually find a driver update compatible with my chipset.

I was thinking of simply disabling Intel management engine interface. I found on the web that it serves for remote control purposes, so I don't need it, but would it be safe to just disable it?

Incidentally, I did not have the issue when I first installed windows 10 (2016), it appeared after some update, either 1709 or 1803 I think.
