Windows 10: I got black screen after startup my laptop. Normally it should be on the login screen.

This happens today when I update Windows also in optional updates included some AMD and Realtek software. The pc's still running after startup BIOS runs fine I think but nothing shows, only black screen. Normally it should be on the login screen.I found that if I push the Power button once, it will be on sleep mode then I push any button it will appear to login screen and I can login and use it normally.Or should I perform a Factory reset from the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition to restore all user settings and profiles to defaults?By the way, I ran the 'Fix problems using Windows Update

You can try the following steps to fix black screen after login in caused by KB5022360:

1. Boot into Safe Mode
   
2. Uninstall the problematic update (KB5022360)
   
3. Restart your computer normally
   
4. Check if the black screen issue has been resolved.
   

If the issue still persists, try the following:

1. Run System File Checker (SFC) to repair any corrupted system files
   
2. Perform a system restore to a previous point before the update was installed.
   

 

Toshiba Laptop Black Screen

I have a Toshiba Laptop, Was reinstalling windows 7 on it last night left it doing the updates then shut it down. Turned it on this this afternoon only to find the laptop screen is Black and also there is a burning smell coming from the Fan.

I connected the Laptop to a external monitor that is fine, Can go into bios, Windows boots up fine Etc.
Just took apart the laptop earlier to check all the cables where in correctly, Checked the motherboard over for any damage, burnt bits but but found nothing. Just put it back together now but im still getting this burning smell and i still cant use the laptop screen only a external screen.

I Tried Pressing FN+F5 to switch to the laptop screen, But still black screen. Any Suggestions please ?
