Windows 10: I got my files back, Some of my files lost for moving them into temp files got back after...

I moved my files into temp because I didn't know happen after used shutdown /r because I thought my files are gone and I need to move them. After restart I got all of my files back but still lost documents, desktop, downloads anyways to get them back? I searched in TEMP but only found pictures

Temp file in File Explorer

Following a recent update, the Excel temp file shows up in File Explorer, as it should, but then it disappears, then pops up again, then disappears and pops up again, erratic but about every one or two seconds. As it appears at the top of the list, each
time it appears it moves all files down a row, and it does it so fast it is difficult to click on any file below it, as they are all constantly moving up or down. The Word temp file stays there like it should. Suggestions?

 

File Lost!!

I had that happen once where I lost a file that was too big to recover, and I couldn't find a utility that could do it, either . . .

I ended up having to take the HDD to CompUSA and have them retrieve the lost info *Eek!

 

moving movie files

i installed a new hdd, installed windows 7 64 bit, did all updates. after that was done i hooked up the old hdd that was from a motherboard that went bad. i have 1.5TB of video files stored on the old hdd. i see the video files, but how do i move them to my d drive? i right click the file and go to send to but there is no option to send to d drive. i really need to move the files to my d drive. how do i do this? i am all confused. thanks in advance. sam
