    • Thanks - I was hoping the newer programs would include Money - I lost my Microsoft 2006 a few months ago and had a need to reinstall. Now I'm hearing about a program called steps?

    Pop up asking to call Microsoft for fixing Virus on Windows 10

    I received popup stating detected virus etc,,call Microsoft at 800 -----. I called the number because it appeared my computer was locked down.. The person I called helped clear the problem "after" I gave him access to my computer...One hour later the person
    calls me back and sells me new software??? Then we start negotiating cost for software to prevent future virus issues ..We start at $500....$300...$100.....$70.....and finally $29.99... I now have some sort of 365 software for a one time fix... I am not sure
    if my computer is now monitored by those folks or what to do to assure security os my laptop...
