NAP in Windows 10

Hello.

I've just recently realized that NAP has gone in windows 10.

Before in windows 7, the NAP works just fine. I used NAP for 802.1x and health compliance.

Moving forward, my company is going to upgrade all pcs and laptops using windows 10, and i'm a bit confused about this.

Any alternatives for windows 10 NAP? or anything that works exactly like NAP in windows 2012 R2?

Any help would be appreciated.

How to turn NAP on?

Hi napsugar,

Please try the following steps.

To turn on Network Access Protection (NAP) in Windows® 7

follow the steps below.

1. Press

+ R.

2. Type “services.msc” and press Enter or click OK.


Security note: If UAC is enabled, then you’ll get a
UAC prompt on screen. Please specify

credentials or permission to pass the UAC elevation.

3. Find the Network Access Protection Agent and right-click and choose

Start, you can also modify it so that it starts with the PC, just right-click and

select Properties and modify the Startup type, change it toAutomatic,
click

Apply and OK.

4. Close the Services.

To start the NAP program, do the following.

1. Press

+ R.

2. Type “napstat” and press Enter or click OK.

NAP on windows 10

Hi everyone,

I have just upgraded to windows 10. 802.1x is sending me to quarantine. When i check the requirements, NAP is missing. Is there a way to enable or install the NAP services on windows 10 ?
