Windows 10: i had a automatic virus popup

i have had a virus pop up and try to download itself it was a trojan under the name "your file is ready to download" i cancelled from the edge tab when you download something it lets you press an X and it cancels the download i and couldnt find any trace of it on my pc im doing a virus scan now im not sure if i still have the virus or not i did press cancel am i good

• (Optional) STEP 4: Reset the browser settings to their original defaults
• (Optional) STEP 5: Double-check for malicious programs with Zemana AntiMalware

And I would start with Step 4, resetting your browser

Fake Virus Alert Popups with Edge browser

Check that the tab it starts with is unpinned. When that site opens click the lock icon in address bar and block notifications. Just some suggestions.
