Windows 10: i had an update from windows that i did. when i tried to login my screen was blank and all...

i lost all my passwords after doing a windows update . my screen went blank after login . i did a system restore from a system point and that didn't help . is there a way to recover my passwords . microsoft created a wallet but it empty and now i can't login to any websites or yahoo .

Blank login screen after disabling AutoAdminLogin

I have an esoteric issue for you. Because of some special circumstances. We have a Windows 10 computer that controls industrial equipment.

• Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, Version 1809 (Build 17763.2237)

It came pre-built from the (German) vendor. They won’t let us provide our own computer, and then install their software. So, in other words, I can’t format the storage and reinstall Windows to fix this problem. They sent it with AutoAdminLogin enabled and the DefaultUsername and DefaultPassword stored in clear text in the registry. Because of increasing cyber-security requirements, this is no longer acceptable. So, I disabled AutoAdminLogin by setting it to 0 and deleted the value for DefaultPassword. Now, a password is required to complete bootup. But the problem is, we can’t see the login screen. It’s just blank. If we wait until we know it has booted up and waiting for the password, we can go ahead and type it in. But we can’t see what we are doing. So, sometimes it doesn’t work I guess because the cursor wasn’t in the right place.

• I have tried running Startup Repair, but it fails with “can’t repair your computer”.
• We have gone through the rest of the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon and just tried changing things. Trial and error. All error, no success.
• Just to check, I enabled the display for “netplwiz”. And it does show the box checked for “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.”
• This computer has never used Windows Hello, PIN, or fingerprint.
• I downloaded sysinternals and ran AutoLogin to toggle it on and off. Same results, we never see the login screen.
• I have Google searched this but haven’t found anyone with a similar problem.

If I could just format and reinstall, I would be fine. But I can’t do that. Has anyone else ever seen behavior like this, where disabling auto login leaves the login screen blank?

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.
