Windows 10: I had my long intalled windows 10 Pro lock up on Nov.6.

I had my long intalled windows 10 Pro lock up on Nov.6. I only had install disks for Windows 7 Pro. When I went back to install them, they formatted my disk and installed Windows 7 Pro. Thus my Windows 10 Pro digital license was lost in the formatting. How do I get my digital license for Windows 10 Pro back to working. The Store gave me a free copy of Windows 10 Home, but that doesn't work for our business.

Windows 10: How to disable lock screen to show login screen directly.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to disable the lock screen and check if it helps.

How to disable Lock screen on Windows 10 group policy:

If wanted to turn off lock screen pictures, then I suggest you to follow the steps below to turn off lock screen pictures through group policy editor.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Type "gpedit.msc" without the quotes in the run box and hit on
Enter Key.

3. Then follow the path below:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization

4. Now on the right side, Double click that
Do not display the lock screen option.

5. Set the option as Enabled.

6. Click on Apply and then click on
Ok.

7. Close Group policy editor and restart your computer.

Note: The above steps is applicable to Windows 10 pro version.

Windows 10 Lock Icon


I am having issues being able to paste files into a folder that has a lock icon on it. I am not the owner of the folder, my boss is. I am using Windows Pro 10 and my boss is using Windows 8.1. I can open files contained within the folder but cannot paste files into the folder. I have opened properties and gone to the security tab and I am listed within the Group or user names list and my permissions are all at allow. Any suggestions?
