I had purchased laptop from SAS institute inc as second hand used laptop. I AM NOT FINANCIALLY THAT CAPABLE. I HAD PURCHASED WITH THE HELP OF MY FREIND WHO IS EMPLOYEE IN THIS PUNE BASED COMPANY. CAN YO HELP ME ACTIVATE MY WINDOWS OS IF I SHARE WITH YOU THE BILL OF PURCHASE WHICH IS IN MY FREIND'S NAME.. BUT INFORMALLY IT IS PURCHASED FOR MY INTENTONAL USE. I AM GENUINELY ASKING FOR HELP DIECTLY BECAUSE I DON'T THINK SUCH A BIG COMPANY SAS INSTITUTE WAS USING UNACTIVATED WINDOWS. PLEASE NEED YOUR HELP. WHAT CAN A SECOND HAND GENUINE PURCHASER DO IF HE DON'T HAVE ANY PRODUCT KEY.. DOES YOUR SYS

product key on second-hand laptop - can i use it?

I have purchased second-hand Lenovo laptop from ebay. There was no OS installed, but there is Windows 7 Pro COA sticker with product key. Can I legally use this product key? Can I install Windows 10 and activate it with this product key?

Also tried, indeed I had made the DVDs for windows that way. On my regular work PC, the DVDs work properly but as soon as I try them in my laptop... well. Then it goes hopelessly wrong. You know, I'll just keep this laptop on Linux Mint. Are we rid of the hassle with the windows DVDs, right? And at least it runs well. Although, the battery life could be a bit longer too. Only lasts an hour. Oh well, what do you want with a second-hand laptop, right? Am already happy THAT it picks up an OS. Strange, nonetheless.

 

using laptop as second monitor?

looking for either a mouse/keyboard share program or some way to use my laptop as a second monitor when i am at home. The laptop is windows 8 the desktop windows 7. i tried to download a program called Synergy but it led me to some weird 3rd party download host where they want you to download their installer, or their toolbar etc etc decided to not got that route. any other suggestions?
