This was a long list of entries. This was when I started my computer up this morning after it froze a little earlier. I replaced one of the graphics cards that had been having issues. This was a used graphics card and I need to find out if this event entry has to do with that graphics card possibly. I copied this first entry:

"Errors" that show on the Event Viewer under Windows Logs

    Hello Jamie,

Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft community.

I appreciate you for providing details about your query.

Event logs are special files that record significant events on your computer, such as when a user logs on to the computer or when a program encounters an error. Whenever these types of events occur, Windows records the event in an event log that you can
read by using Event Viewer. Advanced users might find the details in event logs helpful when troubleshooting problems with Windows and other programs.

Event Viewer tracks information in several different logs. Windows Logs include:

    - Application (program) events. Events are classified as error, warning, or information, depending on the severity of the event. An error is a significant problem, such as loss of data. A warning is an event that isn't necessarily significant,
but might indicate a possible future problem. An information event describes the successful operation of a program, driver, or service.

    - Security-related events. These events are called audits and are described as successful or failed depending on the event, such as whether a user trying to log on to Windows was successful.

    - Setup events. Computers that are configured as domain controllers will have additional logs displayed here.

    - System events. System events are logged by Windows and Windows system services, and are classified as error,

    warning, or information.

    - Forwarded events. These events are forwarded to this log by other computers.

Applications and Services Logs vary. They include separate logs about the programs that run on your computer, as well as more detailed logs that pertain to specific Windows services.

    I hope this information helps.

Please do let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Thank you

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

As you have mentioned, you have performed a repair installation on the computer and you see Event 508, 510 and 533 in Event Viewer.

I would like to inform that if you see any critical error in Event Viewer, please share the event logs with us to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please follow the steps mentioned below to share the event logs:

    1. Press Windows + X from the keyboard, select
      Event Viewer.
    2. Expand Windows Logs from the left pane and select
      Applications.
    3. Click Filter Current Log from extreme right pane. Then in the new windows check the box beside
      Error and click OK.
    4. Now, look for a critical Error in the list and note down the message/information from the
General Tab in the lower section.

    XP Event viewer shows errors

    Hi,

Recently i noticed that windows event viewer shows this error:

"AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to create an illegal memory OpRegion, starting at address 0x0, with a length of 0x1000. This region lies in the Operating system's protected memory address range (0x0 - 0x9f800). This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance."

I start getting this message every 10-15 minutes while playing 3D games like Left 4 dead. My system hangs or restarts from time to time (while idle or is booting). I have tested my pc with prime95, furmark, memtest, other burn-in applications..... No crashes, everything looks stable. Any ideas? Thanks.
