Change Language in Windows 10 Home Single Language

I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 10 Home Single Language pre-installed.

The default single language that came with the system is English (US) and I am not able to change it though the "Region & Language" option in the Settings Menu.

I added English (India) as a language and then removed English (US). Still the system is not accepting English (India) as a language showing the error "Only one language pack allowed". This even though I have removed English (US) language.

I would like to keep installed only one language for Display, Language and Speech, i.e. English (India).

How do I go about this?

 

Windows 10 single language

I have recently bought a new laptop, which has windows 10 single language installed (Chinese). Sadly I don't know Chinese and would like to clean boot it to US English.

My question is: If I download the English single language ISO. Will it activate with the activation code from pre-installed version?
