Windows 10: I hate Microsoft sooooooo much

I hate Microsoft so much - I am sick of the teams app and the 363 app coming up asking me to subscribe whenever I turn on my laptop. Teams is complete **** - why would I use it ?I finally updated the Office app as they stopped providing support for Office 2010 and the new one is dire and they make it as difficult as possible to save a document on my hard drive and instead have 'one drive' automatically preselected as a storage site so that I can put my private data on their cloud and so they can eventually charge me to store my own data. Every single time I save something I have to hit brows

Is it Normal to Hate Microsoft Windows?

I started getting the hang of OneNote. I love what it is about. I have short list softwares I need added to my laptop from work. In OneNote, I wanted the list to be formatted in a manner different from the UniFormat provided in OneNote for text. So I thought I would format the text in Word, print to PDF, thenj insert the PDF into OneNote. Remember the list is short. To place the short list how I want it in OneNote, 11-inch virtual paper yields a huge block under the list of unused "white space"* So back to Word I go, set the paper size at 8.5 x 5. Print to pdf, insert to OneNote, and the text is sideways now, because the people smarter than us at Microsoft are able to figure out that 8.5x5 is supposed to be sideways, but I wanted it not sideways. So next i am in UniSearch (combining all the searh engines of the world, and I am soon reading an excellent explanation by Omer Atay, Principal Software Engineering Manager on the OneNote team at Microsoft, telling the tail of how this is a known problem but since life is life they have not fixed it yet, but he had a very practical-sounding suggestion, that turned out to be one of the lies Microsoft always tells. Microsoft's favorite kind of lie is the easy way everything works, except it never works the way they describe it. In this case, here was Omer's gracious suggestion, he was so generous to share with little people. And I quote: One suggestion I can give is, instead of using Insert > File Printout, open the file first and then use Print command in the application (e.g. Adobe) and choose your orientation there. This will do the same insertion, but with the correct orientation. Sounds easy. Now try it. Microsoft answer always are like escher bach paintings with impossible stairs and other optical illusions. His suggestion is the same as the procedure he says he is offering a replacement for. It's like, "yeah, adding 5 and six is a challenge when you need the result to be 15 instead of 11. So what you do is add five and six to get your 15. Bye Everybody, I just wanted to give you a tip!" Finally, the kicker. How did ding dong come to think he was making a constructive suggestion? Oh I know, he never tried it himself. He heard it in a meeting. I hate Microsoft.

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

Here's why, with suggestions:

• The contacts at the home screen are HUGE with only room for 3 with a sloppy scroll that works 50% of the time. Suggestion: There should be 2 or 3 options for picture size and please add a "disable contact scroll" checkbox on the home screen options.
• Using these contact "shortcuts", it takes as many as 3 taps to make a phone call (it used to take 2 at most (tap contact picture [if not selected], tap phone button).
  
  • • • • • • Tap contact picture, which switches to a new view instead of the nice extended detail on previous versions. This sucks because you can't switch to another contact if you want to. Suggestion: I loved that tabbed extension below the picture. It should be
              optional.
            • Tap Phone button. Hey! now it asks which registered number you want to dial, it does not use the DEFAULT number already entered. Suggestion: Use the default -_-'
            • Tap the number.
• Sending a simple SMS takes 4 taps: All of the above and one extra tap, where you have to choose between SMS, email or audio message. Suggestion: Again, a default option would be nice.
• There's still no dialog-like SMS history. (so you can see the history of exchanged messages with a particular contact, as the iFone does). Suggestion: Please implement it.

Oh, btw there are some things I like: The "Slide to answer" thing is very good for not hanging up to people while getting the phone off my pocket. The music player controls in the home screen are cool too.





Any help other than "get rid of that curse" is welcome.
