Windows 10: I HATE THE NEW SEARCH BOX IN WINDOWS 11 TASKBAR

The new Windows 11 search box from taskbar looks like rubbish. I want to revert to the old design for search option in taskbar: the simple icon, but Microsoft is not giving me this possibility. A lot of people said that the new search box looks horrible! I hate it! Why is no option to select between 3 options like in windows 10: 1 to show search icon 2 to show search box 3 to hide search option? There are 2 reasons for me to return to old design. First: the search box takes up too much space on taskbar, and the second: I hate how it looks.I WANT THE OLD SEARCH ICON ON MY TASKBAR NOW!

This issue with search box may happen if it's hidden from the taskbar.

To resolve the issue, follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the taskbar and select Search.
• Select Show search box.

No Search box on new build in Windows 10

Hi Paul,

There were some who have been reporting that Cortana/Search box is missing on their Taskbar. To assist you with the concern, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how Cortana will appear on your Taskbar.

• Right click the Taskbar.
• Choose Properties.
• When Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window opens, uncheck the "Use small taskbar buttons."
• Click Apply and OK.

No search box on taskbar

Please try the below and check if you can see search bar on taskbar:

Steps:

• Right click on Taskbar, move the mouse cursor on to
  Search option.
• Select Show Search icon (You will see Search icon beside Start)
• Select Show search bar (You will see Search bar beside Start)
