    5 GB of RAM being hardware reserved

    Good Day, I have a problem where my pc is running really slow (Its 8 GB ram) when I check the Task Manager it shows that 90% of my RAM and CPU are being used and only 3.4 GB of RAM is usable, When I check the Resource Monitor It shows that 5 GB of my ram is being hardware reserved. Any solutions ?. Thanks.

    Reserved hardware ram fix

    I have a Lenovo Legion Slim 5 with 16GB of installed RAM, but 2.3GB is reserved for hardware. I want to fix this issue. I checked the BIOS, and the UMA buffer is set to 512MB. Why is the reserved memory so high, and how can I reduce it?

    Why is 8.1 GB reserved for hardware?

    Recently I added 8 GB of ram to my machine so that it would run Photoshop more smoothly. But when I installed the memory and ran the program I realized that 8.1 GB of 16 GB is reserved for hardware making only 5 GB available to Photoshop which is not enough.
    So I wanted to know if there was a way to reduce the reserve and make more memory available to my system.

    Machine specs.

    Ryzen 1600

    16 GB Crucial memory

    2 TB hard drive

    gtx 1050 ti
