    Excel Worksheet in Drive G

If you saved the worksheet on C drive in Excel, that's where it will look for it. If you moved it to drive G (even by accident), Excel is still looking for it at the last known location where you saved it. If you open Excel and navigate to the location on the G drive where you know it is, then open it, and "save as" to the original location on the C drive, Excel will know where it is, and you will be able to open it next time from within the Excel program.

  3. Duplicate locations, Windows 10

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

It seems like there may be a discrepancy between the actual location of your desktop and the one that's being shown in Quick Access. Here are some steps to try and resolve this issue:

    1. Reset Quick Access:This will clear out all your frequently used folders in Quick Access, and it might also solve the problem with your desktop.
      • Open File Explorer.
      • Click on "View" at the top, then "Options" on the right.
      • In the Folder Options window that appears, click "Clear" next to Clear File Explorer history.
      • Click Apply, then OK.
    2. Manually Pin Desktop to Quick Access: If resetting doesn't work, you can try manually pinning your actual Desktop folder to Quick Access.
      • Open File Explorer.
      • Navigate to C:\Users\YourUsername\Desktop (replace YourUsername with your actual username).
      • Right-click on "Desktop", then select "Pin to Quick access".
    3. Check for Duplicate User Folders: If neither of these steps work, it's possible you have duplicate user folders. You might need to navigate through C:\Users\ and see if there are any duplicate folders for your user account.
    4. System File Check (SFC): If none of these steps work or if you find duplicate user folders, it could be a sign of system corruption. You might need to run an SFC scan.

      To do this:
      • Type CMD into the Windows search bar.
      • Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
      • In Command Prompt, type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
The SFC scan will take some time but it will check for system file errors and attempt to fix them automatically. Once it's done, restart your computer even if it didn't find any integrity violations.

    5. Create a new local administrator account and check if the problem disappears under the new account.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.

    Best regards

    Excel Worksheet in Drive G

I did something to make a worksheet that I had prepared in Excel to go to my external drive G. Now each time I need to get the worksheet for some reason it tells me that it is not there, but I can see it in the external drive. I want to it on drive C.
    Suggestions?
