Discus and support I have 32gb ram, but windows 10 64bit just tells me 16gb are available and sees 32gb... in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; I have 32gb ram installed and my windows 10 pro 64bit sees it and my bios sees it, but inside it tells me that 16gb are just available.     I have 32gb ram, but windows 10 64bit just tells me 16gb are available and sees 32gb...


    I have 32gb ram installed and my windows 10 pro 64bit sees it and my bios sees it, but inside it tells me that 16gb are just available. So what is the issue here?? If I take one 8gb ram out and put an 4gb ram in, it shows me more to use, but by putting the 8 GB in and not the 4&

    8 GB's is what I would tell everybody to have as a minimum. For gamer or power user, I suggest going to 16GB of RAM. 32GB or more RAM I usually only see for people who are running lots of VM's, databases, or high end rendering type applications.

    I have 8gb and will be upgrading to 16gb ram. But then i saw how there is 32gb ram ... price is double that of 16gb ram.


    Now is there any point of upgrading a laptop to 32gb ram? Or its a complete waste? I mean i know i could always upgrade to 32gb ram in the future but if i do that, i could always get something for my 16gb ram selling it on ebay right?


    Someone mentioned since i have an old machine dell xps 15 9550 and 8gb ram... 16gb should be fine.

    The 16GB of RAM in my build was $134. If you can find 32Gb of decent RAM for less than that... grab it, fast.
