Windows 10: I have a 2018 dell laptop that was left to me when my mom passed.

My mom passed and left me her dell laptop. Now here's the tricky part. She has it password protected and pin protected. I don't want to reset it due to having photos on it but Microsoft is no help in changing the password due to me not knowing everything about my mom's everyday life. How can I either create another account from the login screen or retrieve access to her account?

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop


These 7 steps allowed me to disable my touchpad (Dell laptop, Windows 10):

1. Win Start button
2. Type in "device manager"
3. Select Device Manager to open it
4. Click down arrow to left of "Mice and other..." to expand
5. Right click Dell Touchpad
6. Disable device
7. Yes

 

Dell laptop from hell

So my moms dell is a piece of crap. I really think this laptop is from hell

I've put vista on it and it works for a couple months then random blue screens, and windows 7 on it same thing, changed the hard drive from a wd 320 to a seagate (vista/7 like before) but it still continues to blue screen. Ram passes test, board passes test, etc. I've done thorough hardware tests, and it passes all the tests. I seriously have no idea what to do at this point.

Does anybody have any other suggestions or am I ranting?

hey guys I'm trying to get clockgen to work on my laptop but can't get any of the plls to work, can you please post like exactly what steps I need to take to test each pll to see if it works? my specs are listed to the left
