Hello everyone:

I have a Bluetooth Wavemaster and I am using Windows 10. I got the speaker (that is kind of expensive) in July this year and it worked fine.

About a week ago, well, it did not work fine anymore.

I can pair it with my computer, it sees it, connects to it, no problem.

When I look at the sound parameter and I can see that sound is supposed to come out (the level meter changes).

But no sound comes out of it!

Now I can connect any other Bluetooth device and get sound out of it.

Also for your information, I can connect my iPhone to it and it works very well with sound.

Do not tell me to use the Microsoft debugging tools, done that to no effect.

I talked at length with the manufacturer of the device and they told me that something is wrong in my setup on my Windows 10 PC, which is kind of obvious, then came the fatal question "Did you recently do an update of Windows 10, by any chance?" and the light came on, it worked just fine, then I did (well actually my computer did an upgrade) and it stopped working.

I checked with the manufacturer and they do not have a more recent driver the one I am using is vm STREAMPORT Stereo from 11/04/2018 version 10.0.17134.1 and it is the last one available. My PC is an ASUSTek G752VT with an Inter Core i-67000HQ @2.60GZ with 8GB of ram, my version is Windows 10 Famille (I live in France) version 1803 installed 25/06/2018 release 17134.345 but I have had hundreds of upgrades of my OS, the last one being 3 days ago.

Could I speak with a support person that could help me on this aspect?

I need this PC for my everyday work and since I am partially blind, the sound is of the utmost importance.

I cannot believe that simple OS upgrades would make devices that are quite simple just cease working.

PLEASE HELP ME!!

Thank you in advance. I know nobody cares, but I do and I will go to the end on this issue, even if it involves taking Microsoft to court in the EU, in France, in the US since I am a lawyer and can work in the three courts.

Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

 

Bluetooth


Bluetooth should be listed in "settings/network and internet" and it would be recommended to connect media such as sound and music that way and to the Bluetooth. I cannot get any sound from my properly loaded Bluetooth device. I have the Windows 10 driver and Windows 10 software. It will pair to the Bluetooth speakers but no media connection is possible. It should be listed in Settings, under Network and Internet for sure. Thanks.

 

Bluetooth in windows 10

So I bought a new Bluetooth headphones the skull candy uproar since my old one isn't working. It came with only the headset and usb charging cable. The problem is I can't seem to pair it to my pc. I have windows 10 by the way. There is no Bluetooth on off button in windows settings. I went to device manager but there us no icon for Bluetooth. I did everything I knew but none of it worked.I can post pictures if anyone needs.An alternative might be a Bluetooth dongle but I m not sure I'd it would work plus I paid $50 so don't wanna spend more

I looked up on Internet and many people seem to have issues with windows 10 and Bluetooth. I thought of asking here knowing my UK friends are smart.

Anyone have any idea of how to get Bluetooth to work on my pc.

PS don't curse windows 10. I already know it's a mess and not a very good os.
