Windows 10: I have a C drive and a D drive, the D drive is WAY more slow in term os of download and...

I have two drives that came with my pc, but the D drive has horrible preformance, for something that the C drive had downloaded in 10 minutes, the D drive is taking half an hour, and something that the C drive downloaded in 1 hours, the D drive took a whole day, can i fix or better the preformance of the D drive?

Since the game is being downloaded to the temporary files of the drive C, it may create conflict when you install the downloaded game from temporary file C to drive D. We suggest to set-up your steam to download the game directly to drive D and check if
you will get the same error message when you install it.

Thank you, RAJU.MSC for your answer. I don’t know if it is necessary to steal/partition drive D or even if I would be comfortable doing that.
It may be easier to just do as DaveM121 suggests and use Drive D for my data and keep the 128 GB ssd drive C for downloads and programs as it is much quicker.

App download keeps defaulting to D drive instead of C drive.

If I do your first suggestion so I no longer see the D drive will that let me download and install the Nox player on my computer and will it automatically go to my C drive instead of the D drive like it has been doing?

If I do your second suggestion again will I be able to download and install Nox player on my computer?

And finally, which is the best all-a-round option?
