I have a Dell Inpiron 7506 2n1 that has Ubuntu on it. My boyfriend took Window's off it and installed Ubuntu. I would like to keep Ubuntu and put Window's 11 on it also. Is this a possibility and if so how would I go about it. I don't know much about Ubuntu and want to learn so that is why I am keeping it. It's just hard because all my apps and programs I use run off Window's.

• The connection is via a cable where one end is a DVI port connected to monitor and the other end is a HDMI port connected to laptop
  
• My other laptop, Dell XPS 15 with Ubuntu 20 - recognizes the external monitor.
  
• Before upgrading to Windows 11, problematic laptop (Dell Precision 7560) had Windows 10, and external monitor was recoginzed.
  

 

Dell Chooses Ubuntu

I don't know - I can understand that most people won't be able to adapt to Linux as a main OS (after all, it doesn't do as much as Windows for the standard home user) but IIRC this was very high on the list of what people wanted from Dell, and it it were offered as a free extra then quite a few people may give it a go just to see what it's like (I doubt they would be allowed to charge much for it), which will give Linux a bit more attention.

No it isn't. That device has 6th gen CPU which isn't listed as Win 11 supported CPU.





Beside that it's not listed in Dell Win 11 supported devices list.
