Windows 10: I have a digital license for Windows 10 Home, but Windows 10 Pro is installed

So last year I built a pc and my friend gave me a USB with windows 10 pro already installed on it but without the activation key so I had an unofficial version of Windows. Today I decided to buy windows 10 home and i got my 25 digit key and i tried to activate it but it keeps telling me the key doesnt work. Would I have to completely restart the computer in order to download the official version of windows and if so how would I do that. Ive tried every way to activate it. Downloading the installation tool and updating my PC but it doesnt work. Bought the License from Microsoft store on September 20, 2017. Order number 2600994281. I haven't use the License since I bought it.

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.

As far as I am aware there is no Windows 10 Pro version.
But I'd be happy to be wrong.

Which is good news actually, because Windows 8.1 is loads cheaper than previous versions (retail licensing at Windows 7 OEM prices). And it sort of puts a huge hole in the Windows subscription theory.
