    I have a freezing problem and I need help.


    So the desktop and taskbar stops responding from time to time even though I can still see the cursor moving, and the only way I have stopped it is by restarting the windows explorer through task manager, or by pressing ctrl+alt+delete and then closing that window. Is there a reason this keeps happening? Like storage problems or corrupt files? I use this laptop for class and I can't replace it.

    Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

    had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.

    Andre, thanks for your suggestions. I performed all steps as you listed and it appears that there were

    some problems that have been corrected. I will let you know in a day or so if the "freeze" problem

    occurs again. Many thanks for your help --- this took longer than I expected!
