Windows 10: I have a friend seeing her first and last name reverse on her logon/pin screen.

This is a new Windows 11 PC that we setup not 2 hours ago. We are wondering if it is because her language profile is Vietnamese. I was able to sign on with my Microsoft ID and it has the name order correct but it's an English language profile. In the user settings the first name and last name are correct, it is just reversed at the pin/logon screen.This is not a show-stopper, merely an annoyance.

The recipient sees a name from you phone?! I did not know that happened.

Bit of a worry: what if you have your boss listed as "That Fat Moron"?

And that happens with all recipients?

I have checked the settings, yes. But they are fine. Contacts are displayed correctly in my Contact list. When I send a text, the contact is still correct if I review the text in Sent Items.

However, the recipient sees the name reversed and if they reply then I see their name reversed.

It all seems very odd!

I'm wondering if it might somehow be a service provider issue (O2)?

 

Netplwiz to automatically logon to Windows using PIN.

I'm sure this question has been asked many times. I use Netplwiz on all my systems to do the auto logon routine. Microsoft has made it very difficult to update or upgrade a system without agreeing to use a PIN. I understand it is the more secure option. However, I can't seem to find a "tutorial" explaining exactly what steps to take to eliminate auto logon using my Microsoft Password and replace it with the PIN auto logon using Netplwiz. Help appreciated.
