Windows 10: I have a g15 5530, im having issues with the wifi, chip ax201

I have a g15 5530, im having issues with the wifi, ax201. Iv tried a few accepted soloutions on here, uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, adding the registry key to enable power management tab to let me stop windows turning it off to save power. It worked for a day, then stopped. Now in device manager i cant see the wifi chip, it just shows up as network controller with no driver

5530 WiFi Problem

my nokia 5530 wifi works with other wifi however it will not work in our home... it will say "unable to connect invalid WPA pre-shared key"... but im so sure that the password i entered is correct... please advise... thnx

 

Issue with the Intel Wi-Fi driver 6 AX201

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community,

After investigation by the INTEL community, it seems that your issue is related to the product design of the AX201 wireless network card.

I suggest you try the following steps to alleviate this issue.

Temporary solution: After investigation, Intel has determined that this issue only occurs in the 5G frequency band. Therefore, as a temporary solution, you can temporarily disable the 5G frequency band for users to avoid frequent disconnection issues.

Conventional solutions (can alleviate frequent problems)

1. Update the AX201 driver on the INTEL official website version.

2. Turn off WINDOWS quick start.

3. In Device Manager - Cancel the power saving setting of AX201.

4. Update BIOS firmware and INTEL chipset to the latest version.

Additionally, you can set the power mode of the WINDOWS system to high-performance mode.

My Nokia 5530 XpressMusic won't boot!!!!

Hi Kevin,

I read somewhere here that sometimes booting up without the microSD card will help. Have you tried that?



If that fails, you will have to follow the steps listed here: Recovering from a failed firmware update.



If you reach the step for hard reset, follow that of 5800, which the board seems to suggest that it applies for 5530 XM. However, the hard reset will result in all data and applications within the main memory of 5530 to be lost. But we don't have much of
a choice in any case.



In the worst case senerio, you'll have to send it to the Nokia repair shop as per suggested in the above knowledge base.
