  1. I have a Galaxy Chromebook with Power Share - can I get my f11 for full screen back?

Some new Galaxy Books have a feature where you can charge a phone by putting it on the trackpad. You activate this by hitting F11. BUT now I don't have f11 as a hotkey for fullscreen. There is no setting for this that I can find so they may involve a hack of some kind. How do I get this back?

    Help!

ASUS Q525UA notebook can not full screen using F11 key, so how then?

    Hi,
Chrome keyboard shortcuts - Google Chrome Help
only lists F11 as Chrome full screen on/off.

Perhaps some other program has defined the function of F11, if it's not specifically assigned by your laptop.

Can i use windows on a chromebook?

External drives are listed as USB hard drives.

@ paulyjustin Under Storage Devices, it lists USB hard drives and thumb drives. USB hard drives are external drives; I don't think internal hard drives tend to be USB. Here's a copy of what I found at File types and external devices that work on Chromebooks - Chromebook Help

    Filesystems
You can access files on external devices connected to your Chromebook if they use the following types of filesystems:

    • FAT (FAT16, FAT32, exFAT)
    • HFS+ (read-only on journaled HFS+)
    • ISO9660 (read-only)
    • MTP
    • NTFS
    • UDF (read-only)

    Storage devices
    • USB hard drives and thumb drives
    • USB CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives (read-only)

Remove a storage device safely by clicking Eject

    .

Note that under file systems, your drive should be formatted as Fat 32 or NTFS; probably not something strictly Chrome if you want to continue using it with Windows. I'm pretty sure you don't want your stuff read only. I have a Galaxy Chromebook with Power Share - can I get my f11 for full screen back? :) From what I see, it doesn't look like a GPT/UEFI formatted drive will work with Chrome.

    F11 does not work

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand the difficulties you are facing with the F11 key not working as it should be. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

    • What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
      winver in Windows search/Run command)
    • What is the make and model of the PC?
    • Did you try F11 along with FN key on the keyboard?
    • Was there a major change or an update on your system, prior to which you weren't facing this issue?
    • Are you trying to use F11 for full screen function or any other function?

However, we would suggest you to perform these steps.

    Uninstall and Reinstall the drivers.

    1. Press Windows + X, select
      Device Manager
      .
    2. Expand Keyboard device.
    3. Right click on all the listed devices, then select
      Uninstall device.
    4. Check the box beside Delete the driver software for this device.
    5. Click Ok and restart the PC.
    6. Then check you still have the issue.

    We await your response.
