Hello, my problem is that I can't use my headset normally. I noticed that I can't speak on discord, because there is a red sign with a warning that says that the system cannot detect the microphone. Although the sound from the headphones is coming, the micro still does not work. I decided to find my old phone and see if the microphone actually works, and it really worked. I tried everything I could: reinstalled drivers, updated some systems according to YouTube guides, but all in vain. Please help me solve this problem, for addition, I will say that my headphones worked perfectly, so far the s

Headphone mic not working with laptop 3.5mm port

I have sennheiser hd4.40 wireless headphone. I also got a cable with headphone having 2.5mm pin(attached to headphone) to 3.5mm pin(attached to mobile phone).

Problem is that when i connect 3.5mm pin to my mobile phone headphone jack, in call i am able to use mic and headphone both at same time but:

1. When i connect the 3.5mm pin to 3.5mm jack for mic on my laptop, i am not able to use the mic.(my laptop has separate 3.5mm mic and 3.5mm headphone jack)
   
2. When i connect to 3.5mm jack for headphone, only headphone is working with laptop not mic.
   

Please do not suggest why I am not using Bluetooth because it is a separate problem.

I am missing something or maybe this may be limitation or something else. Help me on this. :-(

 

mic and headphones

i dont know why but my headphone and mic jack doesnt work when i plug it in it only has a option of line in , mic in , headphones in and i can only choose one even tho from the pc it shows me both mic and headphones can go in and i use a 3.5 mm jack and it should work with mic and headphones but it only allows me to choose one and it comes from dts audio control panel

 

Front Panel Headphones and Mic not working.

Hey Everyone,

Mobo : ASUS M2N MX SE
Processor : AMD Athlon X2 5200+
OS : Windows XP Professional SP2 x86

My Rear panel Speakers and mic works all fine. I got a new set of headphones(with mic) when i connect it to the front panel they don't work. NO SOUND OUTPUT.

I updated the audio drivers. I tried a few many things but I still can't get them running.
My default Sound Manager is Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Please help me get my Front Panel working. A step-by-step guide would be better.
