    Hi Mohsin,

    I am sorry to know that you have been facing battery issue for 2 months.

    Restart the computer a few times and check for Windows Updates.

    In the Search box on the taskbar, enter Windows Update, select Windows Update. On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates.

    Try to run the Power Troubleshooter.

    Power troubleshooter will automatically fix some common issues with Power Plans. Run the Power troubleshooter to adjust your computer's power settings. The Power troubleshooter checks things like your computer's timeout settings,
    which determine how long the computer waits before turning off the monitor display or entering sleep mode. Adjusting these settings can help you conserve power and extend your computer's battery life.

    • Press Windows Logo Key+X then click on Search option.
    • Type Troubleshooting.
    • Select Troubleshooting and click on
      System and Security.
    • Click on Power and follow the onscreen steps.
    If the issue persist, then I suggest you to try the steps provided in the link below ad check. If you cant perform few steps on your own please check with HP.

    Hi, I searched for
    "how to access bios HP laptop"

    HP Notebook PCs - BIOS Setup Information and Menu Options | HP® Customer Support


    suggests
    F1 or F10
    Enter Setup at the red Compaq logo or blue HP logo

    So when you see the HP logo (or just before) start pressing one of those.


    As you can't boot your PC, your only hope of recovery is if you can boot it not from its internal disk, but from something else.

    That way you have a chance of running System Restore, or restoring the registry backup. And at least you can see if you can still access the hard disk inside your PC.

    Whatever you need to do will, I think, be well outside your comfort zone, so I would strongly suggest you seek help from a friend or relative.

    Do you have a bootable flash drive or DVD for Win 10?
    (Your laptop apparently has a DVD drive)
    HP ProBook 6440b (NN230EA) specifications

    Please download and burn a DVD for Kyhi's bootable disk available from the top of the Software and Apps section here. This should give you a Win 10 style desktop.

    However, to be able to boot from it you probably need to change the boot priority in your BIOS.

    HP 15 Notebook PC with Windows 10 will NOT wake up from Sleep Mode!

    My HP 15 Notebook PC with Windows 10 has been giving me problems recently when I close my laptop and reopen it later.

    I DO NOT shut it off when I'm done and I always have it charged or have it plugged in. So when I reopen the laptop, it stays black even when I press buttons. but I know its not turned off because the "Wifi" light is still on (it's orange). So in other words,
    its as if its Locked in Sleep Mode. The only way I'm able to get back into my computer is to turn it off and turn it back on. its starting to get frustrating and I cant find/solve the problem. PLEASE HELP!

    P.S. I HAVE tried these Methods that were recommended to me. Sadly they DID NOT work, so please if you have an idea, DON'T reply with one of these Methods. Thank You.

    Method 1:

    Running power troubleshooter:

    • Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View all on the top left corner.
    • Click on Power.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
    • Check if issue persists.
    If issue persist kindly follow the below given method

    Method 2:

    This issue may arise due to Power management settings. To resolve this issue for, follow these steps:

    • Open the Keyboard control panel (type keyboard in the
      Start Search box, and then click Keyboard).
    • Click the Hardware tab, and then click Properties.
    • Click the Change Settings button

      Note This step requires Administrator access
    • Click the Power Management tab, and then verify that the Allow this device to wake the computer is enabled.
    • Click OK, and then click OK again.
