I use NVIDIA and its Software for Graphics on my Windows 7 Desktop Computer - Do I really need anything more I did research it works without: Microsoft .Net and Microsoft XNA and Microsoft Visual Studio C++ and more efficient and my Sony Locationfree still works. I have not seen any errors I use a Antivirus protection and Malware protection and Exploit protection programs. I guess NVIDIA Software is doing it. Can someone confirm this? I bought Windows 10 and Windows 11 and warned me they can not instill on my Computers - Therefore they do not install on my Computers. Windows 7 does it much b

Changing Brightness with Nvidia Graphic Card

Hello Everybody,

While I am using Nvidia Graphic Card, for example playing a game, the brightness decreasing and increasing frequently. When I unplug the the power cable and then plug in again, the problem is temporarily fixed. How can I fix the problem?

My computer is MSI GE70-2QE Apache Pro and the followings are the specs of my computer:

• Intel Core i7 4720HQ CPU
• Intel HD Graphics 4600 and Nvidia GTX 960M Graphic Card

Honestly, you have bought a great system.

If I were you, I would go into the BIOS (F2 on Startup) and disable nVidia Optimus in the Graphics Section, which will set the nVidia chipset as your graphics card and it will use the 2Gb of DDR5 on the chipset,
not 2Gb of your RAM.

nVidia Optimus causes your Intel HD to be the default graphics and therefore uses up to 1Gb of your RAM as there is no dedicated memory on Intel Graphics. The nVidia card will be rarely used with Optimus on.

I request you to try the following steps:

Uninstall and Reinstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Graphics Card
Drivers

• 
  Right click on the Start menu.
  
• 
  Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
  
• 
  Search for the Graphics Card
  from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
  from the computer.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
  

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Step 2: Go to the Computer or Graphics Card
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
Graphics Card model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.
