I have a MacBook Air. I installed Parallel Desktop 18 but I'm told that I need the real Windows OEM. I have Microsoft 365 Family with Microsoft Office. Can I not use the 365 product key?Do I need to buy another Windows 10?

Windows 11 ARM issues with multiple games on M1 MacBook Air via Parallels Desktop

Hi everyone,

I am a big fan of retro games. Recently I switched from my MB Pro 2017 with Windows 10 to a new M1 MB Air 2020, 16GB RAM and Windows 11 - Parallels Desktop 17. The new MacBook and Windows 11 are running on ARM.

After setting up Windows 11 and installing FIFA 08, 09, 10, 13, 16 and 17 (the latter three via Origin), I found out that non of these games seem to work. FIFA 08 and 10 start, the menus look fine, sound works as well but once I enter a game the screen turns either black or pink. The other FIFA titles I mentioned aren't even opening.

I tried the following:
- All variations of starting the games in Compatibility Mode, including different emulation settings
- All kinds of graphics settings in the respective games and in Parallels Desktop 17

So far no luck. Does anyone have another suggestion what I could do to open and run these games on Windows 11 ARM?

Could it be an issue involving DirectX?

Are there any other emulation settings except for the ones in the Compatibility tab?

 

Transfer purchased Windows 10 Pro with Parallels Desktop to a new MacBook

Hi,

I am currently transferring my programs to a new MacBook Pro. The transfer of my Parallels desktop license went seamless as it automatically transferred the license from the old macbook to the new one.
Now I am stuck with the Windows Pro license on my old MacBook Pro. I can no longer access it (parallels was transferred) and Windows 10 Pro installation on my new macbook is telling me that the license is already in use (which is correct on my old MacBook
Pro).

Can you help me in transferring or resetting the Windows 10 Pro license to my new MacBook Pro ("how to" by cancelling the previous installation)? I don't want to be purchasing a new
windows 10 Pro license while having a valid license available on my old MacBook Pro which will be wiped clean and reset as a new Macbook
