Windows 10: i have a mic permission problem for apps such discord and GeForce now

I tried ever possible solve on YouTube to add apps to mic permission but nothing worked

Why does my mic not work on Discord?

Did you check the Settings > Privacy > Microphone for permission, or did you check the in-app Discord Settings, to make sure you have the correct Microphone selected as input device?

Is this the comptuer built in mic, or headset mic?

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

Under the category: settings/Privacy & security/microphone, it is possible to turn on/off some apps permission to access the microphone. However several apps are lumped together into the last category of the list called "Let desktop apps access your microphone". This generates problems since steam, discord, zoom, e.t.c are all in this category which basically removes the users abillity to use mic on discord but not steam. This lack of flexibillity could easily be solved if microsoft would make individual on/off-switch for all desktop apps that wish to access the microphone in windows 11.
