I have a microsoft surface 4 laptop running windows 11 with a microsoft arc bluetooth mouse. Lately on startup my mouse is nowhere to be found . It appears after a few minutes of being absent. Do you know what causes this? Thank You

surface pro 4 no longer connect to bluetooth mouse

After the January-2016 firmware update for the surface pro 4, I can no longer use my blue tooth Microsoft arc mouse. The blue tooth settings show that it is paired, yet I get no response. I cannot remove the mouse using manage blue tooth devices as this action fails every time. The device is also not found when in paring mode.
Is there another way to remove the device manually?

My current build is Windows 10 Version 1703 (OS Build 15063.483).
I tried all the troubleshooting you suggested below and although it indicates that my Surface Arc Mouse is “Connected” it still does not work.
