I have a new HP window 11. The apps on the bottom of the screen won't open. I can't use the screen to do anything.

Desktop apps open in little square

Often, when I open a desktop app in Windows 10, it opens in a little square. When I expand the square there's nothing there. I have to force the program to close and then re-open it for it to work.

Any idea why?

BTW, it's not just Music & Video but I was forced to pick a category (another thing that irks me - being forced to pick selections in Feedback that do not relate to my issue. If you have to force us to make a choice, add OTHER!)

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Run Windows app troubleshooter.

Step 2: Run shell commands for Windows store and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Command prompt(Admin) to open elevated Command prompt.
  
• 
  Type the following commands.
  
  
  
  powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml
  
• 
  Hit enter, the blackscreen will appear still for a couple of seconds. After a couple of second a new line saying C:\.... will appear.
  
• 
  Close Command Prompt.
  
• 
  Try to start the Windows Store again.

Windows won`t open an program when using Microsoft user

Windows won`t open an program when I try to open it with Microsoft account user, but when I login with local account, that program opens. I have tried with 2 Microsoft accounts, 1 admin and 1 normal user, and it won`t open in either one of them. What can cause this?
