    I created the reset disk as suggested, created a new password and word to remember it by. It's on a 19" Acer Laptop. All I want to do is get in download files and pictures and reset it for my great nieces to watch movies on. It's Vista Home Premium INTEL R Core TM 2 DO CPU T6400@ 2.00 GB RAM Mobile Intel R 4 Series Express Chipset Family. Windows support was pretty useless because I couldn't get anyone live. The error I get is just The user name or password is incorrect.

    Mapped network drives do not connect at logon in vista with automatic logon enabled

    I have vista x64 . I have some mapped network drives . They get connected when i enter the password at logon screen. Now i enabled automatic logon in vista and they do not connect anymore . I have to double click on them and enter the password manually .

    Windows displays the message "Could not connect to all drives" at logon .

    They used to connect automatically in xo with automatic logon enabled.

    My logon password is the same as the administrator password with which i can connect to these drives .

    Do not want to use hotmail address and password to logon to my PC. How to revert back to what it was before - a separate logon to hotmail and my PC

    Had a session with a MS tech support this morning. Now my PC:


    • Must logon using my Hotmail address and password.
      I am the Administrator for my PC and I cannot change my PC logon id and password back to what it was before because name and password change are no longer available. However, I can do so for another user account on my computer

    • My PC logon id is now my Hotmail address and password, whereas before, I have a separate logon id and password to my PC

    • This logon change is a big security issue because anyone who can hack into MS hotmails can logon to my PC as administrator



      I would appreciate help re do not want to sign in with a MS Hotmail account to my personal computer

    Cant change windows Logon password

    Sorry this is not helping me

    I dont want to change my Microsoft account

    I want to change my Logon Password

    I have fallowed the steps and all i did was sign out and sign in again

    I dont Understand this

    also I dont want to use my Microsoft account password for my log in password

    I think there is no Solution for me

    I will Just stay with this Password
