Colors are correct with prints from my mac laptop in all cases and if I opt for "printer driver managed colors" or draft mode in windows. It's like the applications cannot communicate the custom print/paper ICC profile to the printer driver. I have tried to set ICC manually in color management and I get the same color shift issue cyan is literally printing as green. Also tried to re-install the printer driver a couple of times.

ICC color profile doesn't work on printer (Win11)

    Hello everybody,

I got an ICC color profile for my printer and assigned it to my printer using Windows' "Color Management", but there is no change in the printout. My printer driver (HP MFP479) doesn't have built-in options to apply color profiling. But as far as I know, when I use Windows' "Color Management", that doesn't matter, because Windows should alter the datastream that gets sent to the printer driver to print (without the driver noticing). I don't use programs like PhotoShop that can directly apply color profiles; I want the profile to be always active when printing from whatever program. And as I've read, that is what "Color Management" should be good for. Here's how I installed the profile:

    • copy <profilename>.ICC to "C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color"
    • right-click and "Install"
    • went to "Color Management" in Control Panel
    • selected my printer
    • ticked "Use my settings for this device"
    • selected "Manual"
    • added profile via dialog
    • set profile as standard
    • close

Result: No change in printouts. But when I use ExifPro (which has built-in color profiling) and I select my profile there, the printout changes (as it should). So the profile itself works, but "Color Management" doesn't apply it to the print data. What am I doing wrong?

I appreciate any help. Thanks a lot.

    Reinstalling Photoshop and Lightroom

I have been a subscriber to Microsoft for several years and my subscription included photoshop and Lightroom. And I have paid for these apps. To make a long story short my computer got hit with a bad virus and I had to scrub the whole disc drive. Now I'm
trying to reinstall Photoshop and Lightroom. I visited the page which shows all the apps I subscribe to and gives me the option to reinstall. Photoshop and Lightroom are not on the list. I paid for these apps and I'd like to know how to reinstall them.

I have a P700 Epson printer and I cannot set custom ICC profiles in Lightroom, Photoshop...

After Windows 10 1607 - ICC Profiles Load But Not Applied

Similar problem from latest W10 update .

Find out that Windows ignore assign ICC profiles and assign(not convert) AdobeRGB to all of them.

Check for yourself , convert image profile in photoshop to some of your printer profiles and save it , than return to original image and convert to AdobeRGB and save ("save as" of course) to same folder.

Now look that 2 images in "Windows Photo Viewer" or even better print them to Windows XPS printer(add your custom ICC profile to "XPS Document printer " color management window in color management settings-just to be shure) and open it in XPS Viewer.

AdobeRGB look normal on my PC , everything else is distort.Using printer driver preview window will show this best.

On the end only solution which work for me is using AdobeRGB only.
