I was unable to get into my computer this morning because of a windows sign in screen. It is as white with a message in the upper right corner inviting me to shop for deals. In the lower left, there was an ad that said I won something and to click there. I shut the computer down twice and the same thing happened. Then I used the shift and power key and I was able to get in. Clicking enter won’t work. The computer will go dark and come back to that screen. The only way I was able to bypass was the last option. Is this a virus?

To address this concern, we suggest that you follow these steps on how to change your profile picture on sign-in screen in Windows 10:

• Press the Windows key, then click your account at the top of
  Start menu.
• Click Change account settings.
• Under your account name, you will see a circle then click the Browse button to choose a photo you want to set as profile picture.

Update KB4550961 couldn´t be installed

Hi! I´ve tried hard to install KB 4550961 unsuccessfully. Even run this or that in order to correct whatever the problem might be.

However, after restart it appears “Updates couldn’t be installed” on the screen. Running Scannow and Restorehealth as Administrator didn´t
work either.

I´ve also gone step by step thru “Fix Windows Update errors” steps 1 to 5. I´m reluctant to follow Step 6 Reset or Reinstall Windows –
Refresh is not included - because I´m afraid I might loss some stuff important, though I created a restoration point and a USB recovery drive, just in case.

Setting up background pictures on your sign in/lock screen page is a great idea! You can find the images that comes with Windows by following these steps:

• From the Start menu, type in This PC then hit
  Enter.
• Once on This PC, look for the Pictures folder from the left side of the screen.
• Click the Pictures folder, then you will see the images/pictures that comes with Windows.
