Wifi internet download speed windows 10 pro

Starting about the middle of January 2020 my download speed dropped from 160 MB to 3-25MB. I have tried all the suggestions I have found in the community as well as purchased a new wifi adapter thinking that was the problem. On a wired connection I get
230 MB. My roommate and my girlfriend get still get 160 MB download speed on wifi on the their windows 10 PC's, their macbook's, and all of our phones and tablets. This is only affecting my pc which is 4 months old. I even put my pc in the same room as theirs
with the same result of slow download speed. The only thing I have not done is a clean install of windows. I would prefer not to do a clean install if I can help it. Any help would be appreciated.

 

qBittorrent downloading only at half speed!?

I did another test with my girlfriends laptop. And I was.. wft is going on.

Test:
- oakla speed test, max speed 4-5 MB/s
- downloading ubuntu with browser, 4-5 MB/s
- downloading ubuntu with qbittorrent, 4-5 MB/s without problem all the time.

Yes, I am pretty sure problem is in my desktop pc (I doubt) or lan port on router.

Any suggestions?

 

PC not getting proper download speeds, but phone is

Hi,

I have 15Mbps download speed and all this time the fastest speed I've seen it go is 1.3Mbps. Actually, the only time I've seen it in the 7-8Mb range was downloading from the Microsoft Store (which is strange to me). Anywhere else, it always caps at about
1.3Mbps.

So I just got a new phone and I'm noticing the download speed on it right now, 7.4Mbps. Now why is it that this phone is getting a faster speed than my PC? My network drivers are up to date and I'm directly connected.

I know certain programs/websites are brought down to lower speeds at times, but getting <10% speed at best doesn't make any sense.

Any help would be appreciated.
