Windows 10: I have a question about the phone link app

Hello, I use the phone link app on my HP laptop and an Android phone. When receiving a text to my phone, a small "pop up" "screen" would come out of the right side of my laptop screen showing the text. A week or so ago, that stopped happening. I have not changed anything but has something changed in the Phone Link App? Thanks

Can't "Link to Wndows"

Thanks so much. I will certainly follow your tutorial in the future. I think resetting did the trick, and I was also able to set a pin code.

Question. I am confused about one ongoing step: "Go to www.aka.ms/addComputer" in your browser." A search for this, and other similar url's suggested in the Phone LInk setup always ends up the same way, with a trip to nowhere.





Clicking in those types of links end up in a blank tab

After you plug in your phone into the USB are you seeing it like this?





If you then double-click on the phone icon you will see this if the phone is locked





However, if you then double-click on the phone icon you will see this if the phone is unlocked





Since you are running Windows 10 you should check out the Your Phone app from the Microsoft app store. This app only supports a limited number of phones but my Samsung Galaxy S21 5G and your Samsung Galaxy A51 are supported.

With this app you can do the following on your Windows 10 PC:

• Display phone screen
• Read Notifications
• Read Messages
• Drag and drop photos and screenshots onto PC desktop
• List apps and run them
• Make and receive phone calls
