Is there a good guide out there on actually assembling the new rig?

List your system specs (All of the parts you're using), putting a computer together isn't very difficult. I can give you some steps on doing it no problem.

  3. reboot/freeze problem

my computer runs fine for about 20-30 minutes and then reboots/freezes(sometime it reboots, sometimes it freezes)
    i have an evga 680i A1 board, 4x1gig xms2 dhx, q6600, 2x8800ultra's, 2x150gb raptors, pci-e wireless n card.

i have tried running the computer at stock speeds and voltages and have the same problem, so it's not an overclock issue.

it seems to be a software problem. but where do i start? the computer run @3.6ghz can run all night(9hours) orthos stable, but when im using it, it locks up every 20-30 minutes.

    any suggestions?

Windows 10 Upgrade and Newly assembled PC query

    Hi,

I will try to keep the question as short as possible.

    1. I have a PC running activated Windows 7 Professional (retail version).

    2. I am eligible for the upgrade and I have received the notification. As per the upgrade plan, I can upgrade for free until 28th July 2016.

    3. I am NOT upgrading now, because I am planning to buy a newly assembled PC early 2016.

    4. Since my Windows 7 is retail version, I am planning to do a clean/fresh install of Windows 7 when I assemble the new PC and activate it.

    5. Once Windows 7 is installed and activated on the newly assembled PC, I want to use the Windows 10 upgrade and upgrade permanently to Windows 10. And then want to use Windows 10 for future clean installations.

    Is the above possible?

For point 4 above, do I need to manually deactivate Windows 7 on my current PC
before fresh installation and activation on a newly assembled PC? Is it mandatory? If so, what's the procedure?

    Thanks a lot.
