    Samsung SSD 970 EVO M.2

    Hi

    I recently installed Samsung SSD 970 EVO M.2 on my Dell Inspiron 3268. Using Samsung Data migration tool, I copied my OS to SSD and wanted to make SSD as my boot drive, but is not getting shown up in BIOS as boot option.

    I can see PCI as loaded in BIOS, can also see SSD in the maintenance of BIOS.

    What am I missing?

    Samsung Evo 970 BSoD

    I have recently purchased a Samsung Evo 970.

    I decided to put a fresh install of windows 10 onto it, everything worked fine. I then proceeded to the windows update centre to install the newest updates. When it got around to downloading the Windows April 2018 update that is when my problems started
    it would download fine, but get stuck on about 80%, I tried this 3 times the last time i left it a few hours and still no progress.. I restarted my computer after the download to see what happens Now it is gving me a BSoD with no error code, just a Critical
    Service Failure message. I have tried everything, taking all other hardware out, another fresh install of Windows 10 after that, updating all drivers manually from the Samsung website for the drive. And still, the update sticks on 70-80 percent. My pc works
    fine with the HDD drives, as i put them back in and my computer is now working. It leads me to believe that the Samsung drive has some compatibility with the newest version of Windows.

    From this post of mine it shows even the 3800x @ 4.4 is not doing so bad cheaper and beating 9900k *Smile
