Windows 10: I have a security warning . It's blocking me from using my PC. The number I'm required to...

I believe I have been hacked. I have security message notifying me to call Windows Security +1-866-278-6875, no one answers.I'm not in position to exercise the use of my PC at this time.

Blocking Cell Phone Numbers

i have read several forums that say that you cant block any cell numbers on any given plan. that is not true. i have US Cellular (crappy, but effective). i can go into security and block numbers that arent in my contact list. can i get ways for Verizon, T-Mobile, so on?

That's just a fake alert... a so called Tech Support scam. If you would have called that phone number those scammers would have tried to sell you their unneeded services/products/whatever. They might have lured you into letting them have remote access to
your computer etc etc.

Please know that all such alerts/warnings with a phone number to call are always scams.

Do you have a good adblocker? If not, you should get one soonest.

Personally, I use the browser extension uBlock Origin which blocks all kinds of unwanted stuff....
