    I have a Sharp MX-C402SC Copier. I have a new Asus laptop running windows 11.


    I downloaded the drivers but I don't know how to connect it. I tried using the cat 5 cable into the computer but it comes up with an error on printing. Can anyone help a NON IT person get this printer working with my laptop?

    Windows 10 scanning issue with Sharp MX-M363N

    We have a Sharp MX-M363N multi function copier/printer/scanner installed in our office which has a scan to network folder option available on it. For the past three years, we have had no problem scanning to any computer in our office, Windows Vista through
    Windows 10 Home. We recently replaced two of our older computers with new Windows 10 Home machines and cannot get the Sharp to scan to folders on these new devices. What setting can be changed in Windows 10 to allow scanning to these new machines?

    Sharp Copier MX-2640N on Network

    Since we purchase this new printer we have struggled :

    1. occasionally existing users cannot connect to printer .

    2. the printer is not "seen" from any Win10 computers unless we specially use the IP address of the LAN printer.

    We are being charged $90 per hour everytime someone "drops" the printer, or whenever we need to install a new PC or connect a laptop.

    The local Victoria supplier and even the Vancouver experts, tell us that it is a WIN10 issue. I believe this is not true. That perhaps it is the configuration in the hardware (in the MX-2640N).

    Is anyone aware of this issue?

    How can we force the MX-2640N to broadcast its existance and address, on startup.

    This would them make it known to every PC on the network (espcailly the WIN10 computers).

    Driver for Sharp Printer AL1642CS

    Hi Guru,

    Thanks for responding.

    My problem is that I cannot get a driver for this AL1642CS Sharp copier. The Sharp company has been no help. All I get is this message:

    SORRY, WE ARE EXPERIENCING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES.
    PLEASE CHECK BACK AGAIN SOON.

    I have checked back several times on several days.

    I am thinking that There is no driver to accommodate Windows 10 and that upgrading to windows 10 was a BIG MISTAKE!

    Any suggestions?
