Windows 10: I have a weird issue regarding an specific Taskbar Icon and I need help from you guys.

Basically I have Blitz, an app that is an overlay for League of Legends. The app itself works fine and has no issues, however I cannot for the life of me, make a taskbar icon that doesn't disappear entirely for the program. It usually goes 1 of these 2 ways:

1. 
   I make the taskbar icon and everything works fine. But if I reboot my laptop, the icon completely disappears. No trace left, yet all my other icons don't.
   
   
2. 
   I make the taskbar icon and everything works fine. But if I reboot my laptop, the icon doesn't completely disappear, instead I'm left with a blank icon that when I open it, it says something along the lines of "This program is uninstalled or not found, would you like to remove it?". I've tried to look for solutions but I haven't found any good ones. Please help.

System Icons on taskbar

Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

I understand your query related to Taskbar icons not showing properly on your PC. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below:

1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
   
2. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
   
3. Does this happens only with File Explorer or any other icon on Taskbar?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the suggestions mentioned below and see if that helps.



Method1:



Try re-registering Taskbar using PowerShell command and see if that helps.

1. Press Windows + X keys together and click on
   Windows PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. Now type in the command and hit Enter:
   
   Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
   
3. Restart the PC.
   

Method 2:



Try changing the Settings for Recently opened items.

1. Press Windows + I to open
   Settings
   
2. Now click on Personalization and click on
   Start.
   
3. Under Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or the taskbar and in File Explorer Quick Access.
   

In case the problem persists, try creating a new user account and check. Refer the article

Weird spyware icon on taskbar.

Well thx for all of ur help guys, i used Smitfraudfix.exe, because that was the first best suggetion and it was fixed in a flash. So thx to all im sur the others that u all listed were good as well.
