Windows 10: I have an alienware m15 r4. In the past few months, Windows 11 takes forever to boot up...

I just checked with the Dell website and it looks like everything should be up to date. What's causing this?

Alienware m17x r4

Im wondering whether to buy another alienware m17x r4 laptop on ebay but i heard that dell doesn’t support these laptops or they don’t have the drivers (something like this could you please clarify) Im thinking i might just buy a apple macbook instead
because i did own an alienware m17x r4 before and had nothing but problems.

Why does my alienware m15 R4 1 year old say I dont have trusted control module and cant get windows 11?

The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is a chip on your computer's motherboard that provides hardware-level security. TPM 2.0 is required for Windows 11, and if your computer does not have a TPM 2.0 module, then you will not be able to upgrade to Windows 11.

It is possible that your Alienware m15 R4 laptop does not have a TPM 2.0 module, which is why it is saying that you do not have Trusted Control Module (TCM) 2.0. You can check if your laptop has a TPM 2.0 module by following these steps:

Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

Type "tpm.msc" in the Run dialog box and press Enter.

If you have a TPM 2.0 module, you will see "TPM Management" with a green checkmark.

If you do not have a TPM 2.0 module, you will see a message saying "Compatible TPM cannot be found."

If you do not have a TPM 2.0 module, you will need to purchase and install one to be able to upgrade to Windows 11.
