Windows 10: I have an error on my laptop regarding logging into it

Hi! I have an error on my laptop. Yesterday I rushed to put in my pin to the laptop and failed many times, locking me out for 2 hours. I waited the 2 hours out and it let me back in. However, when I went back on my laptop today the same error message came up saying I had to wait another 2 hours before signing in. Do I have to wait 2 hours EVERY time? I have reset the pin on it just there after waiting the 2 hours out but I am scared to turn it back off incase it makes me have to wait another 2 hours to log back into my laptop. Is there a fix to this so I don't need to wait 2 hours every time I

We understand how difficult it could be and we appreciate the time and effort that you have taken to work this issue. However, in order to get clarity, we would need some more information regarding the issue.

1. Were you using the “Old email (account) address” regardless of not using laptop?
   
2. Are both the email addresses linked?
   
3. Could you please let us know, where exactly you get prompt for the password for the “Old email address” in the desktop?
   
4. What is the exact error message you get when you try to log in to laptop?
   
5. Does your desktop has two user profiles?
   

In the meantime, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check.



You would need to have internet connection in laptop, so that the password change could get updated and it seems that the laptop is not connected to the internet, we would suggest you to connect Ethernet cable to laptop and then
try logging in to the laptop with the new password for the old email address.

• Did you make any changes on your computer prior to this issue? If yes, please provide more details.
  
• What's the make and model of your laptop?
• Have you checked if your drives are all up-to-date? If no, we suggest updating your driver.
• Are you getting an error message before or after doing a screen capture?
