Windows 10: I have an immensely high power consumption with my RAM, what to do?

Hello, I own a PC for about 5months and I am satisfied with it, it was sold to me by a reputable company., I guess. Good performance, no problems so far. But now I noticed that my memory usage is extremely high, although I have 16GB RAM. I have about 70% memory usage even though I only have Chrome open and the rest is pulling next to nothing as well, what to do!?Then I went to the performance tab on the task manager and looked to see what was going on and I saw that apparently only 2 of 4 slots are being used on the RAM!? Does this mean that 2 8GB RAMs are installed or are there actually 4 4GB

High Idle power consumption

Hi,

A laptop in idle still drains the battery. It can be one of the lists below are the reasons why your discharging faster.

• The power plan is on High-Performance. It consumes more energy because it maximizes the computer's usage. Toggle it as Balanced by going to Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options.

• Too many background applications running. We can check this by going to Windows Settings > System > Battery saver > Battery usage by app. You can set adjust the settings of your battery there as well. Also, please follow the tips on the window on how you
  can manage your battery.
• You use the second graphics card as your display to an external monitor.
• Using sleep mode instead of hibernate mode. Hibernate mode is advisable to use when stepping away from the device for very long.

In addition to this, you can run the automatic troubleshooter to
find and fix problems with your computer's power settings to conserve power and extend battery life.

VOIP Client Power Consumption

I figured if choose one SIP Account to run on 3G and one on WiFi the power consumption is low.

If both are switched to 3G as access point the power consumption is high.

Must be some kind of bug...

 

High RAM consumption in DWM.exe process after Win10 Anniversary update


Anyone else having this problem?







my system is PT-BR, but the process eating 435mb is DWM.exe
