I have a NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti, a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC motherboard, a AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and a Crucial P5 Plus CT1000P5PSSD8 SSD, but for some reason Windows says that "this version of Windows doesn't support DirectStorage IO optimizations". My Windows 10 version is 22H2.I built my PC with DirectStorage compatibility in mind, a game that requires DirectStorage is coming out soon and I don't know what to do.

    :)

  2. New M2 card "not compatible" with windows 11

I ended up resolving this myself. for people who want help with this issue, I did the following:

    • I unplugged both my other storage devices from my motherboard - an SSD and a hard drive
    • I ran startup with only the M2 card attached and the windows 11 media USB inserted
      • I think that the m2 card being alone was enough to force the system to want to install. I didn't make any other changes from above for the install to work (I was fully compatible to install but it didn't anyway)
    • setup worked normally from there.
    • I had to reconnect and manually format the SSD which had my previous OS on it later.
      • If you have problems here with the system booting off your old OS, you'll need to go into BIOS and change the booting order so put your new storage device first.

  3. New M2 card "not compatible" with windows 11

    I bought a new M2 card. 2Tb.

Installed it into my windows 11 desktop and initialised the drive. I can read-write to it. My current SSD is 500Gb and runs Windows 11.

I used a I media device to install Windows 11 to my M2 card. The installation started but stalled saying "computer is not compatible with windows 11".

How do I get it working?

The computer is compatible because another drive is running the OS. So I suspect it's something to do with the secure boot or UEFI boot stuff. I don't know where to begin to set up the new M2 card to actually use it with my system.

I've tried to "reset windows" but it just reinstalled to my old SSD.

    graphics card problems

    Hi,

Your computer makes a noise or beeps from your internal speaker because it failed to detect the graphics card. What we can suggest is for you to try cleaning your graphics card with a pencil eraser. Here are the steps below:

    • Turn your computer off.
    • Pull out your video/graphics card.
    • Rubbed the cold contacts with soft pencil eraser.
    • Connect your video/graphics card back to the computer.
Kindly note that this is just a temporary fix. If the case still continues, I suggest that you contact your graphics card's manufacturer.

Let us know how it goes.
